Career –

After graduating from the University of Missouri, California called me home for a few months, where I worked at Adventure Sports Tours with Dave Hall, building a brand (and several surf houses) in Central America. As the Brand and Booking Manager, I was responsible for customer relations – booking, managing travel, and coordinating with our on the ground team in El Salvador and Nicaragua in order to provide our guests with the best experience possible. I also updated the website, created and posted content for AST on Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest, integrated an airline booking system into our main site, and created unique micro-sites for each location, further highlighting the beauty and activities in each location.

Since departing California, I’ve set down roots (which I hope will be permanent!) in Colorado. In the first 6 months after my relocation, I consulted for companies like Icelantic Skis, Drumbeat, and Widefo.cus before finding the first launching point in my career at The Integer Group working on brands like Blue Moon Brewing Company, Batch19, Henry Weinhards, Crispin Cider and the Kroger MillerCoors Customer Account.

These days you’ll find me at Factory Design Labs, helping to restore the previous notoriety of the agency in Denver, managing clients like Kettle Chips, Punch Bowl Social, Mathews Archery, Pressery and more.

Looking into the Future –

I am currently in the process of searching for the next step in my career. With almost five years of advertising under my belt, I’m open to new experiences in the management and marketing fields, especially on the client side. I produce the best work when I’m working for and with something I’m passionate about – anything in the sports, beverage, or apparel world appeals to me, but I’m quick to align with a cause/company I believe in.

Education –

MIZ – ZOU! Columbia, Missouri will forever be the place I “return home” to, since both adventures in my education career were based there. Freshman year I spent a year focusing on Equestrian Business Management under Sara Linde at Stephens College, riding and working around horses as often as I could. In my search for a more robust business degree, I hopped across the street to the University of Missouri – Columbia, where I completed my B.S.B.A with a Marketing emphasis through the Trulaske College of Business. I still finished an Equine Science Minor, co-run through both Stephens and the College of Agriculture of Natural Resources.

Interests –

Horses played a major role in both my personal development and my development as a leader. Growing up, I was the youngest board member elected to our local horse show circuit management staff, and used the responsibility I was given to develop ETI Corral 8 into a must-attend schooling show for local barns. In my professional life, equestrian sports have only become more important to me, and you’ll find me at the barn as often as possible. While I have yet to turn my career toward the equestrian world, I volunteer with White Harvest Farms as a horse show photographer, and as a web manager. I am also a Colorado Hunter Jumper Association Rules Supervisor and I’m taking steps toward becoming a USEF Steward.
